UEFA has charged Ajax for the misconduct of their supporters during the game against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Ajax fans were found to have thrown objects and engaged in “acts of damage” during the club’s famous 4-1 victory over Real Madrid last week. It marks the fourth time this season that Ajax have been charged by UEFA for fan behaviour.
UEFA’s disciplinary panel will judge the case on the 28th of March, with Ajax likely to face a fourth punishment from Europe’s football governing body this season. Ajax have paid a total of £66,500 this season for crowd disturbances and other incidents at three other games in the UCL.
