Few hours after taking oath-of-office as the 47th president of the United States, Donald Trump has issued a plethora of executive orders on a variety of topics, including diversity, immigration, and climate change.
The Republican immediately began approving executive orders, presidential memorandums, and administrative actions on a variety of policy issues utilizing his newly acquired authority.
Although executive orders have legal force behind them, they can be revoked by courts or succeeding presidents. Many might encounter legal difficulties.
Presidents often sign a number of executive orders upon taking office, but according to US media, Trump plans to sign up to 200 on his first day in office, surpassing the number of executive acts most previous presidents have issued in a single term.

National Emergency At The Border
Trump signed an order to declare a national emergency at the southern border in the White House’s Oval Office. Trump remarked, “That’s a big one,” as he signed it.
Additionally, he targeted automatic citizenship for children born to illegal immigrants in the United States and classified criminal cartels as terrorist organizations.
The language of the order was not immediately available, but Trump also signed one that will halt the US refugee resettlement program for four months.
Border Closure
Trump also signed another executive order directing the military to “seal the borders” in reference to the flow of illegal drugs, human smuggling, and border crossing-related crimes.
Tiktok Looming Ban
In the White House Oval Office, Trump signed an order delaying for 75 days the enforcement of a legislation that would have banned the Chinese-owned social media company TikTok. Following a temporary outage of US services prior to Trump’s inauguration, TikTok restored them and praised his pledges on the subject. The specifics of the directive that Trump signed are unclear, but he had stated that it would give TikTok’s parent business additional time to find a US partner to purchase a majority stake. Trump responds that he has the authority to “sell it or close it” when asked what the action does after he signs it. After his campaign films garnered billions of views, the newly elected president said he had changed his mind about the ban.
Elon Musk and Doge
The Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), a new consulting organization dedicated to reducing government expenses, was established by a decree issued by Trump. Elon Musk is anticipated to be its leader.
Trump was questioned by a reporter about whether Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, will have a White House office.
According to Trump, Musk would provide the new agency with an office that can accommodate roughly 20 staff.
Federal hiring freeze
Trump issued an order prohibiting new federal hiring until the Trump administration has complete authority over the government, with the exception of the US military and a few other categories.
Federal workers going back to work
Trump approved a rule requiring federal employees to work in the office and prohibiting them from working at home.
Capitol Riot
1,500 individuals who stormed the US Capitol are being pardoned for the Capitol riot.
Trump declared in the Oval Office that he was pardoning over 1,500 of his supporters who had been detained during the 2021 riot at the US Capitol.
Trump has stated that he is “inclined to pardon many of them” and has called those detained in the violence “hostages” on numerous occasions.
In connection with the violence, about 1,500 people were taken into custody. At least 600 people were accused of attacking or obstructing federal officials.
Censorship
“Ordering the restoration of freedom of speech and preventing government censorship” is the directive that Trump signed. Information on the precise functions of this directive was not immediately available.
The order instructs the attorney general to look into the actions of former administration officials at the Federal Trade Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Department of Justice.
World Health Organization
To start the process of the United States’ withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO), Trump issued an executive order.

Inflation
In order to address the expense of living for Americans, he signed an order requesting that all federal departments and agencies in the US do so.

Energy and climate
Trump approved the withdrawal from the historic international pact to curb global warming, the Paris Climate Accord, as part of the first set of orders.
