Ekiti State Government has disbursed N22million subventions to registered Youth Organizations and Student’s Associations in the State.
During the presentation of cheques to the benefiting organisations in Ado Ekiti, State Commissioner for Youths Development Mr. Gold Adedayo explained that the subvention is intended to support student groups’ and youth organisations’ development initiatives and to encourage civic engagement, innovation, and long-term impact in communities.

According to Mr. Adedayo, the subvention is also intended to foster civic engagement, empower young people, assist grassroots development, and create long-lasting, profitable social networks.
Adedayo provided a breakdown of the distribution, stating that the beneficiaries comprised 35 community groups spread across the 16 Local Government areas of the State, seven student associations, and seven youth organisations, including faith-based organisations.
He characterised the subvention, the first of its sort in Ekiti State’s history.
