As against the apprehension about the state of health of the U.S. President Donald Trump, White House doctor has confirmed he is in “excellent cognitive and physical health.”

At a hospital in the Washington, DC, region, Trump was also discovered to have scarring “on the right ear from a gunshot wound” following an assassination attempt last July during the first yearly physical of his second term as president.

“President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function. He is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Dr Barbabella wrote in the memo released by the White House on Sunday.

At 78, Trump was the oldest president to take office in January, though his predecessor, Joe Biden, was older at 82 by the time he left.

According to the note, the president underwent neurological testing to assess his mental health, nerves, motor and sensory function, and reflexes. He did not exhibit any symptoms of anxiety or sadness.

According to Dr. Barbabella, Trump also took the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and received a score of 30 out of 30.

The exam, which includes tasks like naming animals, drawing a clock, and repeating words back five minutes later, is frequently used to identify cognitive impairment and early indicators of dementia. On Saturday, Trump told reporters on Air Force One that he “got every answer right” on the cognitive test.

“Overall, I felt I was in very good shape,” Trump said. “A good heart, a good soul, a very good soul.”

He added that doctors had given him “a little bit” of advice on lifestyle changes to improve his health, though he did not provide details.
