Portugal’s national team unveiled a bronze statue of the late Diogo Jota at their training base.
On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the footballer was honored with the iconic statue after his tragic death in a car crash alongside his brother.

Led by Cristiano Ronaldo, the ceremony included heartfelt tributes, such as Ruben Neves revealing a tattoo depicting their friendship, and Coach Roberto Martinez emphasizing Jota’s memory as a source of motivation for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Armenia and Hungary.
