Renowned author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and her husband, Dr. Ivara Esege, are presently not in a good mood.
The couple are battling with the news of the passing one of their twin sons, Nkanu Nnamdi. The 21-month-old boy passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, after a brief illness.
According to a statement released in this regard, the family requested privacy as they grieve with their older daughter.
Adichie, celebrated for novels like Americanah, had kept the twins’ birth private to shield her family from scrutiny, and condolences have poured in from across Nigeria.
