President Muhammadu Buhari will travel to Saudi Arabia on official visit from Tuesday, April 11 to 19 on his last trip to the Kingdom as President, during which he will perform Umrah, the Lesser Pilgrimage.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media an Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, announced this in a statement on Monday.

In anticipation of the Imam’s upcoming Umrah journey to Saudi Arabia, the President had on Friday gathered with other worshipers at the State House in Abuja to observe the early closure of the daily Qur’anic recitation (Tafsir).

Shehu had stated that the daily Qur’anic recitation and commentary in Muslim worship centers during the month-long Ramadan fasting season had a special significance for the President this year.
In light of the May 29 handover date, he declared that last Friday would be his final Tafsir as President and Commander-in-Chief.
