The former governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi is being interrogated at the office of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) .

Sources with knowledge of the situation revealed that Fayemi came to the EFCC premises on Thursday at around 10 a.m.

According to the sources, anti-graft agency agents are questioning the former governor on claims of misappropiating N4 billio .

He was said to have requested a postponement due to his participation in the launch of two books in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fayemi was quoted as saying that as one of the organisers of the launch, he was bound to be present at the event.

Prior to now, the EFCC had said it intends to go after then-outgoing governors and other public officials
