18-year-old suffers moderate head injury, is taken to hospital by helicopter; none hurt as large tree falls at preschool amid heavy winds.

A tree fell on a young woman at the Sea of Galilee on Monday, causing only minor injuries.

The fallen tree, which was close to Kibbutz Ein Gev, caused the 18-year-old to have a brain injury.

She was transported by helicopter to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service.

Several beachgoers at the Sea of Galilee packed up their stuff and decided to call it a day because of the strong winds, especially because rain and thunderstorms were predicted for the next day.

In a another instance, a big tree fell on equipment at a preschool in Kibbutz Beit Kama, north of Beersheba.

Teachers had the students go inside when the winds grew stronger, so no children were wounded.

The preschool’s outside covered area was crushed, as seen in video taken at the scene.
