President Bola Tinubu is having a meeting with former governors Nyesom Wike (of the Rivers) and Mallam Nasir el-Rufai (of Kaduna) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Senate reviewed President Tinubu’s ministerial picks, which included the former governors. Wike overcame the Senate screening obstacle, but el-Rufai’s nomination has not yet been approved.
According to sources in the Presidential Villa, El-Rufai arrived about two o’clock, while Wike arrived around 1:40 p.m.
The impeccable source also revealed that efforts are being taken to ensure that Mallam el-Rufai receives the Senate’s approval.
